Leave the banality of domestic life to immerse yourself in a haze of bubbles, music, art & loving souls. As ‘Wanda’ carried our excited crew through the undulating hills, it was evident the recent rains had reinvigorated the land; it felt as if that vibe had saturated the mood of every inhabitant of the line of vehicles winding their way toward the festival entry. Approaching the camping zones was a sloshy affair. Heavy last-minute downpours had in turn led to last minute changes in zone arrangements which the staff communicated and organised with utter professionalism. Instructions were given clearly, everyone helped those in need to get tents up and cars free from thick mud. The show of human spirit and care was truely heartwarming. Luckily, our set up was done and dusted in no time; we were so keen to get entwined in everything Jungle Love had to offer. Eyes open with wonder, soaking up the abundant good vibes, I headed down from camp to kick off my virgin J
Those who visit or are lucky enough to live within the south-eastern corner of Queensland know how blessed we are to have such a naturally beautiful playground. Trust me, it’s so much more than that! Anywhere between the Sunshine Coast to the Gold Coast is host to a bunch of rad, locally billed, live music events. Talking it up just a little more, these events are suitable to anyone’s taste and budget. One such series of events, is run by a collective called the East Coast Originals (ECO). Should your perfect idea of a Sunday afternoon be a free, family friendly, live music session; you’d best include one of their events on your calendar. ECO run family friendly, crowd funded events that present top notch emerging, local and touring artists. I urge you to get on board their Facebook page and see what is coming up. The ECO are a Not for Profit organisation responsible for the coordination and presentation of three, soon to be four events held over the south-east. Scarborou
